Search tips for finding a journal
There are several options for finding out if the Library subscribes to a particular journal or magazine. For example, to find the following journal:
Research Quarterly for Exercise and Sport
Basic search
Simply enter the name of the journal or ISSN into the search box:
- Research Quarterly for Exercise and Sport, or
- 2168-3824
Find a journal search
On the homepage click on the 'Journals and magazines' link or from within the Library Search click on the 'Find a journal' option in the top menu, and enter the name of the journal or ISSN into the search box.
- Research Quarterly for Exercise and Sport, or
- 2168-3824
Tip: this is a good option if you are searching for a journal with a common or single word title, e.g. nature, the lancet, choice
Advanced search
Try either of the following options:
- Title or Publication Title: Research Quarterly for Exercise and Sport
- ISSN: 2168-3824
What years are available?
When you have found a journal, click on the title in the search results, a new window will open (i.e. the "full" record) that displays information about what years the Library subscribes to and what Library database or website the journal is available on.
Want to search for journal articles?
If you want to search for articles across many journals you'll need to use Library Search or the library databases.
