Access a range of film and television through the library, including feature films and documentaries, online and on DVD.
Library Search includes all online videos and DVDs available via the Library.
Online video databases
The below databases contain film and television covering a wide range of topics and genres, including:
- films from international and Australian cinema, including feature films from Hollywood, indie and art house films, and films in languages other than English
- television programs from international and Australian sources, from popular docuseries to critically acclaimed dramas
- documentaries covering everything from the arts to engineering and science, targeted at a range of audiences
- professional recordings of live theatre and dance performances, comedy shows, and concerts.
Kanopy
Kanopy boasts a large catalogue of film and television that can be viewed on-demand. It has a browsable interface, as well as a robust search.
Kanopy can be watched in browser, but also offers a television and mobile app for a wide range of devices.
ClickView
ClickView resources are selected by QUT staff for teaching and learning purposes. QUT students can access available videos in the QUT Community section.
Content can be browsed by navigating through the 'Folders' in the QUT Community section. Alternatively, simple keyword searching can be used to locate specific films or episodes of television shows.
ClickView can be watched in browser, but also offers an app compatible with many Apple and Android devices.
EduTV (via Informit)
EduTV (via Informit) contains thousands of off-air recordings from Australian television channels.
Use simple keyword searching (e.g. dance AND "first nations") to navigate EduTV's catalogue, as the platform isn't browsable. Alternatively, search the title of the film, television show, or performance.
EduTV can only be watched via browser.
Alexander Street
Alexander Street specialises in documentaries on a variety of topics and professional recordings of performances, including behind-the-scenes content.

Australian free-to-air television online
All Australian free-to-air television channels offer free video on demand and catch-up TV services through their own respective online platforms. They feature a wide selection of film and television series selected or created for Australian audiences.
All of the above platforms have a corresponding app available that is compatible with a wide range of television and mobile devices. Search within the app store of your device to find out more.
Many (if not all) of these platforms are region-locked, meaning users must be in Australia to access the content available on them.
