QUT alumni who have graduated from an award course can borrow hardcopy books from the Library in person, free of charge, with an alumni borrowing card. Former QUT staff members can apply for community borrowing.
Applications are not processed in person at the Library. If you would like to borrow, you must apply online prior to your first visit to the Library.
What does alumni borrowing include?
- Yes You can borrow hardcopy items in person at QUT Kelvin Grove and Gardens Point libraries. Check the Library Borrowing Conditions for details.
- No Postal loans.
- No Ebooks.
- No Library databases and online resources - a borrowing card is not required to access the subset of Library databases available to QUT alumni. Simply login using your QUT username and password.
- No Interlibrary loans and document delivery.
- No Reciprocal services from other libraries.
Apply for or renew your Library borrowing card
Library cards are valid for 5 years and can be renewed after this time. After your application is processed, your card (including instructions on how to login to My loans), will be mailed to you within seven working days.
If you would like to borrow books and other hardcopy items from Kelvin Grove or Gardens Point libraries please apply for or renew your Library borrowing card. Note: this is not the same card as an alumni card.
