Student experience and engagement

  • Provide vibrant, welcoming and inclusive physical library spaces
  • Enhance student achievements through engaging activities
  • Partner with students
  • Support learning and research excellence through the use of appropriate technologies

Learning and teaching excellence

  • Ensure students have access to the information and library services they need to thrive
  • Provide online resources that enhance students' learning experiences
  • Collaborate to advance a digital capabilities program

Advance open scholarship

  • Facilitate open access to QUT research outputs
  • Promote Open Educational Resources (OER) access, publishing and capability at QUT

Access to information

  • Actively collect and promote resources reflecting the diversity, equity and inclusion priorities of the university
  • Ensure access to physical and digital collections is sustainable and meets the contemporary needs of the curriculum and the QUT community
  • Champion barrier-free access to low- or zero-cost textbooks
  • Support the QUT Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property Protocol

Research quality

  • Support the university's research priorities, particularly: - reimagining research assessment - research data management
  • Increase connections with early career researchers
  • Develop a library strategy for digital literacy and GenAI

People and culture

  • Equip the QUT Library team to meet future opportunities and challenges
  • Foster a culture that values user experience and innovation
  • Streamline communication channels within the library
