2016 Library Student Survey - iPad mini winner announced

Thank you to all the students who completed the Library Student Survey (InSync), we had a fantastic response.

The survey has now closed and the winner of the iPad mini 4 has been drawn - congratulations to Ryan on winning the prize!

We're looking forward to reviewing all of your feedback. The results from the survey will be used to help us understand where we are doing well, identify improvements and give us new ideas for the future.

Once we've collated the results, we'll publish a summary of the key feedback from the survey. Watch this space!

2013 Library survey - you said, we did

Following feedback received in the last QUT Library Survey, in 2013, the following improvements have been made:

Need more group tables and quiet zones
  • Levels 5 and 6 of the Gardens Point Library have been refurbished. Level 5 is a designated quiet study zone and Level 6 is a group study zone. Level 5 has been refurbished as a quiet study zone.
  • Level 3 of the Kelvin Grove Library now has additional group tables and seating.
  • Caboolture Library now has additional seating.
  • Level 5 of the Law Library now has additional individual study seating
  • We've improved signage for group study and quiet zones in the Library.
  • We continue to highlight the quiet and the group study areas during Library tours and orientation activities.
More power points/power sockets in the wall so I can use my laptop
  • We've installed additional power outlets on Level 5 of the Law Library, and Levels 5 and 6 of the Gardens Point Library.
  • As areas are refurbished, additional power is installed where possible.
Computer access can be very hard, especially during peak hours
  • Computer availability in the Library and in the central computer labs is promoted on digital screens in the branch libraries.
  • We've opened the Library's training rooms to students, when they are not booked for classes.
  • We've doubled the number of laptops available for loan at the Caboolture Library.
I was unaware of the online videos available via the library
  • We included a specific Quick Find search for 'Videos and DVDs' on the Library webpage and improved our 'How to Find' and promotional information about videos.
Improve the website, too much content and hard to find what is needed.
  • We've redesigned the Library website and made it easier to find Library databases and search tools relevant to your study area. The website adapts to different devices and screen sizes, allowing you to access it from anywhere with any device.
