The Scholarly Impact Librarian is responsible for managing the library's publication metrics service, which provides advice, training and publication metrics data and reports to support QUT's research community.

Duties include:

  • providing advice, support and training on the appropriate use of publication metrics and publication metrics analytics tools including, but not limited to:
    • Scopus
    • SciVal
    • Web of Science
    • Overton
    • Altmetric Explorer
  • liaising with vendors to resolve issues, improve data quality and organise training
  • developing resources to support staff and higher degree research (HDR) students in using publication metrics tools and metrics
  • providing publication metrics reports and data to support grant applications, reporting and decision-making.
