The Library works with you to purchase or provide access to the resources needed for your course and to develop graduates with life long learning capabilities. Please contact your liaison librarian for more information about any of the services mentioned here.

Recommended readings and past exams

 

You can provide access to electronic copies of book chapters, journal articles cases and many other kinds of copyright material via the Course Materials Database (CMD); Information for staff; CMD Help ; Log to CMD.

You can have library books, textooks or personal copies of books placed in the Course Reserve Collection so they only available for use in the Library. Allow three working days to process requests. Course Reserve request form.

You can release past exam papers for inclusion on the CMD.

Material for your courses

To recommend books, journals and other resources you need for your courses, you can:

 

  • send your reading lists to your liaison librarian;
  • suggest a purchase using the web suggestion form;
  • provide assignment questions to your liaison librarian who will locate and purchase appropriate material.

Information literacy

You can develop the information literacy skills of your students by:

 

  • integrating information literacy into your lectures and curriculum
  • recomend free library workshops and tutorials

Combating plagiarism

New courses and units

The Library will work with you to ensure we have all the resources to support your courses

For all new courses and significantly changed courses a Course impact statements must be completed by the TILS Faculty Liaison Team members.

The purpose of the statement is assess the resource implications of the course for the Library and other Departments within the Division of Technology, Information and Learnding Support. Processing the request takes approximately 4 weeks.

Resource Guide to QUT's Teaching Capabilities Framework

This resource guide has been developed to provide resources which align with QUT's Teaching Capabilities Framework. QUT's teaching capabilities framework clarifies the approach to "improving teaching for learning" and encompasses the scholarship of teaching practice across four dimensions.
