The Library works with you to purchase or provide access to the resources needed for your course and to develop graduates with life long learning capabilities. Please contact your liaison librarian for more information about any of the services mentioned here.
- Recommended readings and course material available online (Connects to the CMD)
- You must use the CMD to make any copyright material available to students electronically. Please read the information about copyright requirements, how to add material and reactivate materials for reuse.
- Course Reserve items (Connects to the CRC request form)
- You can have library books, videos and personal copies of books availailable on 2 hour loan by placing them in the Course Reserve Collection. Allow three working days to process requests.
- Past exams (Connects to CMD Information for Staff)
- Past exam papers which have been released by lecturers and which have unit class sizes of 30 students or more are automatically added to the CMD as they are released to the Examinations Section. You can request others to be added.
- Suggest material for our collection
- Suggest a purchase using the Tell us form or send reading lists and assignment questions to your liaison librarian who will acquire relevant material.
- Improve your students' academic and research skills
- Work with your liaison librarian to embedd academic and information literacy development into the curriculum or recommend library workshops and tutorials to your students.
- Combating plagiarism
- A resource guide for staff on how to prevent, combat and detect student plagiarism.
- Improve your teaching capabilities
- A resource guide developed to align with QUT's Teaching Capabilities Framework.
- Course impact statements
- For all new courses and significantly changed courses your liaison librarian will complete a course impact statement to assess the resource implications.
