Creating a PIN for My Library Profile

Members of the community who join the Library as associate, reciprocal or ALIS members must set up a PIN in order use the features of My Library Profile. My Library Profile is the secure account that allows you to view your borrowing record and renew loans. More about My Library Profile.

To create your PIN

  1. From the Library Catalogue click on the My Library Profile link
  2. Type your name as it appear on your library borrowing card eg. jane Smith
  3. Type in the barcode number listed on your Library card or membership letter eg. n0123456701
  4. If you don't already have a PIN, leave the PIN field blank, and you will be prompted to create one
  5. Click on the Login button
  6. Choose a PIN, and type it in twice. The PIN may be a combination of between four (4) and twelve (12) numbers and letters. Click the Login button.
  7. Click on the Login button again

Please note: as with other PINs you should choose numbers and letters which would be difficult for anyone else to guess. Do not use your name or QUT ID card barcode. Your PIN IS NOT related to QUT's Access Account and Password. DO NOT give your PIN to anyone.

To change your PIN:

You change your PIN anytime. Use the "Modify PIN" option in My Library Profile.

If you have forgotten your PIN:

If you forget your PIN, please contact the Library and ask for it to be reset.
