QUT Library provides document delivery services to other Australian and overseas libraries. QUT Library does not provide document delivery services to individuals from other institutions. Individuals requiring documents should contact their own institution's library which may make requests on your behalf.
We offer the following service levels:
- Core - 4 day turnaround
- Rush - 1 day turnaround
QUT Library does not offer Express 2 hour turnaround.

How to make a request
Each branch library has a Document Delivery Office which responsible for requests for material from their branch's collection. Please direct your requests to the relevant Document Delivery Office. Material must be returned to the Document Delivery Office of the branch where it was requested.
QUT both lends items and supplies copies of documents. For more detail please refer to QUT's Collection Development Manual Section 5.2 Document Delivery, Intercampus Photocopies, Griffith Photocopies and Loans.
Libraries Australia Document Delivery (LADD) system
Kelvin Grove, Gardens Point and the Law Library branches are users of the Libraries Australia Document Delivery system (LADD). Each branch can be contacted directly through LADD. Branch holdings information is indicated in the call number by the prefixes:
- KG (Kelvin Grove Campus)
- GP (Gardens Point Campus)
- Law Library
Please apply through LADD using the symbols:

Document Delivery Charges
The following charges (GST inclusive) apply to materials requested through the QUT Library Document Delivery service.

QULOC Libraries
The QUT Library is a member of QULOC, the Queensland University Libraries of Cooperation. Standard charges apply to QULOC member libraries unless bilateral document delivery agreements are in place.
Payment Methods
The QUT Library prefers payment through the LADD Payments system. Payments outside the LADD system will be invoiced and payment can be made via BPay or by cheque. QUT Library will also accept payment by Visa Card, Mastercard, Bankcard, or American Express..
Libraries are requested to specify which method of payment they will use, with each request.
