EndNote training is offered by QUT Library to QUTstaff and postgraduate students only.
Courses are conducted on all campuses. All sessions are conducted in training labs to provide hands-on, practical experience, so there are limited places in each class. To register, complete the online registration form. You will receive confirmation of your enrolment.

The EndNote Essentials course is designed for new EndNote users. Before commencing this course you should be able to:
- use MS Windows operating environment
- use MS Word basic features

- create and manage EndNote libraries
- insert citations into MS Word documents
- format a bibliography in MS Word documents

On successful completion of this course you will be able to:
- Obtain and install EndNote software
- Launch the EndNote program from Microsoft Windows and Word
- Open an EndNote library and view and search references
- Sort references and assign references to Groups
- Create a new EndNote library and set it as your default
- Select a bibliographic style and print a list of references
- Add records to a library manually
- Add database records to a library via Direct Export
- Add library catalogue records using Connect
- Attach files to an EndNote reference
- Insert citations into a Word Document and enter pagination details
- Format a bibliography within a Word document
- Backup your EndNote library
