EndNote Import Filters are used in the process of importing database search results into EndNote. A filter is a mechanism used by EndNote to interpret each piece of text within the field of a database record and place it in the correct EndNote library field.
Some databases support direct importing of records into your EndNote library; others require you to first save records from the database search to a file and then import them to your EndNote library. To import from the file, you need to use the appropriate filter.

Other database filters are available from the University of Queensland Library's EndNote Filters web page, and there is an extensive collection of filters on the ISI web site.
