EndNote Connect Files

To search the QUT Library catalogue and save records into an EndNote library, you will need to download the appropriate connect file.

QUT Library catalogue connect file

• Connect file: QUT Library for Windows (last revised 26 May 2005)
  • Please note: for new QUT libcat III Millennium server z39.50 keyword search Use attribute
• Connect file: QUT Library for Mac (last revised 24 Jan 2003)

To download the file:

1. Click on the appropriate link above.
2. Click Save
3. Save the file (filename 'QUT.enz) in the EndNote Connections folder on your hard drive, usually C:\Program Files\EndnoteX1\Connections
4. Delete the out-of-date file with filename 'Queensland U of Technology.enz' from the Connections folder

When you wish to search the catalogue:

1. Open Endnote
2. Click On Tools
3. Click on Online Search > New Search
4. Select "QUT" in the list of Connection Files
5. Click the button marked Choose
6. Type your search terms into the search box which is launched within EndNote connecting you directly to the QUT Library catalogue
