You can register and renew your ALIS membership online, in person or by mail. View the options listed for the following categories:
New graduates
New graduates are eligible for a free 12 month ALIS membership from the date they complete their course.
Register online
You will need to complete the ALIS New Graduate online form. Your membership details (including instructions on how to create a PIN) and library card will be mailed to you within seven working days of your application being received.
Register in person
You can register in person at any of the branch Learning and Research Desks.
You will need to show photo I.D., proof of your current address, and your statement of results (or be able to access QUT Virtual to supply your completion date to library staff). Acceptable documentation of your current address must have been issued in the last three months and must display your name. Proof of your address may include:
- a phone, electricity, gas, or rates bill
- a bank statement
- a rent receipt
You will then be issued with your membership details (including instructions on how to create a PIN) and library card.
After your initial 12 months free membership from your course completion date, you may continue membership for an annual subscription fee.
Other graduates and alumni
Register and pay online
To register online you will need a credit card and complete the QUTPay registration form.
Your membership details (including instructions on how to create a PIN) and your library card will be mailed to you within seven working days of your application being received.
Register and pay by mail
Print out the ALIS registration form (PDF, 32 KB) and mail with payment to QUT Alumni Office at GPO Box 2434, Brisbane, Qld 4001.

Register and pay in person
You can register in person at any of the branch Learning and Research Desks.
You will need to show photo I.D. and proof of your current address. Acceptable documentation of your current address must have been issued in the last three months and must display your name. Proof of your address may include:

- a bank statement
- a rent receipt
After filling in the ALIS registration form (PDF, 32 KB), you will be asked to make your payment at QUT Printing Services by credit card, eftpos or cash. You can then return to the Learning and Research Desk to be issued with your membership details (including instructions on how to create a PIN) and library card.
Renewing your membership
You may use the registration and payment methods mentioned above. Please indicate this is a 'renewal' by ticking the renewal box on the form.
