Using QUT Library
All members of the community can visit and use branch libraries without cost and without being a member of the library. As a visitor, you can:
- search the library catalogue to find the books, journals and multimedia material held in the branch libraries
- use the resources within the library
- search for journal articles, conference papers and other documents using some library databases (Browse a list of the databases available for use in the Library)
- receive assistance and advice from staff on the Library Help Desk
A guide to using the Library for members of the community details the services available to visitors as well as some help in searching the library catalogue and databases. QUT Library regrets we are unable to provide visitors internet access or printing services. More information about printing restrictions is available in the guide.
Borrowing from QUT Library
To borrow from the Library, you have to become a QUT Library member and fees apply.

Alumni Library Information Service (ALIS) Membership
For QUT graduates and alumni, the ALIS membership scheme provides discount borrowing services and off campus access to a limited number of online journals through the ProQuest database service. Alumni are also welcome to visit the branch libraries and use the services mentioned above.
