Selected standards are kept in print format in the library collection. Generally these are standards in high demand such as those on class reading lists. These may be located by using the library catalogue. If the standard number or the correct title of the standard is known, select Title search, and enter the Standard Number e.g. AS2732 or Standard Title e.g. Guide to the lightning impulse and switching impulse testing of power transformers and reactors. An alternative method is to select Keyword search, and enter keywords on the topic of the desired standard. Then limit the results by Author, entering the name of the issuing body e.g. Standards Association of Australia. If the standard number, title and/or issuing body are not known, use the resources outlined in this guide to verify standards information. |

Obtaining standards not held by QUT Library in Fulltext
If the required standard is not held by the QUT Library, there are several options available to you.
- If the standard is relevant to the teaching or research aims of the University, your liaison librarian may be willing to purchase it for the library's collection.
- If you are a student or staff member of QUT, you can request the document through Document Delivery. Graduate Diploma, Honours and Undergraduate students must have the document delivery request form countersigned by their academic supervisor.
- Alternatively you can purchase the standard directly from the issuing body or through a standards supplier. The following sites can be used to verify standards information and purchase standards online.
