Where can I find print newspapers in branch libraries?
Current newspapers are held in the newspaper reading area at each branch library. At Carseldine, Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove this includes the last three months of print newspapers; at Caboolture, this is the last two weeks; and at Law, the last week is held.
Older issues are kept in the Periodical collections in Microform format. This is a complete photographic reproduction of the actual printed page which can be viewed and printed from the microfilm reader located in the QPS section of each campus Library.
Which newspapers does the Library subscribe to?
One way to find examples of newspapers in the Library is to perform a subject search. Try performing a search for the subject "newspapers" in the "periodicals" collection by changing the drop down menus on the Library catalogue homepage. From the listing that is returned, you can browse to see what newspapers the Library holds for a particular country or city.
For a listing of Australian newspapers, try searching the periodicals collection with the keywords "newspapers" and "Australia".
