Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB)

The Australian Building Codes Board is a joint initiative of all levels of government in Australia. The board's mission is to provide for efficiency and cost effectiveness in meeting community expectations for health, safety and amenity in the design, construction and use of buildings through the creation of nationally consistent building codes, standards, regulatory requirements and regulatory systems. The Board produces the Building Code of Australia.
The National Institute of Standards and technology (NIST)
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is involved in the development of measurement standards, documentary standards, information technology standards and conformity assessment and accreditation programs. NIST laboratories develop methods of measuring length, time, mass, temperature, and the other physical quantities that are fundamental to all types of technology.
