This demonstration will show you how to use subject headings to find other useful resources.
You are looking for books on sustainable buildings.....
Click Go to Library Catalouge to begin your search.
Click the Advanced tab.
Type your keywords into the search boxes.
Tip: You can add an asterix to find variations of the stem word. For example, sustain* will find sustainable, sustainability etc
A search for (sustain* and building*) found 735 results.
Note the keywords you searched for are highlighted in orange.
Scroll down the list to find useful results, like The green building revolution and click on the title to see more information.
Scroll down to view the subject headings.
Click on the subject of interest to view other similar subject headings arranged in alphabetical order.
Click on the subject again to view the resources related to this subject area.
Now you know how to use subject headings to find other useful items.
