The focus of the Library's strategic planning is the annual Library Strategic Plan, which articulates the Library's future direction.
The 2011 Library Strategic Plan adopts an outcomes based approach to strategic planning and is aligned with the QUT Blueprint (University-wide Strategic Plan), and its three spheres of influence:
- Students, Learning and Teaching
- Research and Innovation
- People, Culture and Sustainability
The Library's Strategic Plan includes:
- QUT Library Outcomes - the broader principles and overall goals that the Library is aiming to achieve.
- Key Performance Indicators - a series of high level, strategic measures that relate to the Library Outcomes.
- Enabling Plans and Enabling Frameworks - which enable the Library to effectively achieve its outcomes.
Library Committees develop Annual Action Initiatives for the Library Outcomes, and these are included in Committee Annual Action Plans.
